During the year, PAC donated a total of $18,500 by way of academic awards and charitable donations on behalf of its members.

• Walmart Canada sponsored this year's Student Design Competition, which took place at the Just One Package Conference in May. Students from 5 different schools competed to design an alternative solution to large plastic bags for oversized items in retail. Winners and finalists received monetary awards.

• The Quebec Leadership Council (formally QC) donated to College Ahunistic, students awards in the amount of $300

• The Central Leadership Council (formally ONT) - Thanks to the monies raised, continue to support students in Ryerson University's Graphics Communications Management Program, as well as the Packaging Engineering Technician Program at Conestoga College.

• The PAC Pacific Region in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Society for Coatings Technology (PNWSCT), raised $1600 in funds for the BC Children's hospital at this year's golf tournament.

• Since 1989 PAC has maintained a scholarship trust noted as the Lyn Jamison Award at OCAD University. Every second year this award is given to an out-of-province student that qualifies in structural package design. The closing market value was at $19,796 last fiscal year.

OCAD - Lyn Jamison Award Winner 2016-2017

PAC is proud to announce that Yisu Yu is this year's recipient of the Lyn Jamison Scholarship. The award began in 1985 and is given to an out of province fourth year OCAD student for excellence in either Graphic or Structural Package Design. Yisu, is an international student from China who took Package, 3D and Graphic Design. The Award recognizes achievement in each program at the fourth-year level on the basis of studio work, as well as for specific Liberal Arts & Sciences achievement on the basis of coursework completed. Awards are given as cash awards.
