Supremex is currently looking for a competitive, high-energy Business Development Representative to manage customer relationships by developing assigned accounts.

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative will specifically focus on the sale of products developed and sold through our Packaging Division.  This division offers a comprehensive lineup of premium quality folding cartons, as well as protective packaging product solutions, which include Conformer® by Supremex, Board, Poly, Bubble, T-Wrap, High Strength Mailers, Related Label products/services, Stock boxes and a variety of other value-added packaging solutions.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop, nurture, track and close sales opportunities with new prospects.

  • Work independently to develop a sales funnel and seek out opportunities to promote and sell the Packaging Products offering

  • Make contact with potential customers, consult with them to analyze and discover their product needs, present multiple product solutions, prepare proposals, and manage orders and post-sale follow-up

  • Emphasis will be on direct selling of these products to high opportunity accounts and industry verticals

Location:    Toronto, Ontario

 

What you bring to the role

We are seeking a proven leader with a track record of success. Preference will be given to those with experience selling similar packaging products and solutions. Candidates should be creative, team players, able to multi-task, have strong relationship building & excellent interpersonal skills, and be comfortable “in the field” at least 80% of the time.  The successful candidate will be required to develop and nurture a network of industry contacts to identify and pursue sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Ideally 5+ years related sales experience in packaging related or folding carton field

  • Business Degree or equivalent preferred

  • Excellent technical skills, including understanding of paperboard packaging and folding carton manufacturing

  • Process oriented and technology savvy to develop & implement prospecting plans (familiarity with CRM software a definite asset)

  • Strong interpersonal and face-to-face relationship building skills in multi levels of accounts

  • Excellent business communication skills, both oral & written

  • Strong presentation and persuasive negotiation skills to “close the deal”

  • Time management skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Intermediate computer skills required in MS Office

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, passionate, committed to career

  • Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle, and be willing to travel as required
